Mark is a highly experienced businessman, accountant and consultant whose passion for combining robust change management with innovation drove the initial creation of Ignite. He has helped multi-national organisations respond creatively to complex, organisation-wide challenges, drawing the very best from their resources and dramatically improving results. In his spare time he can be found renovating his ancient wooden boat.
A co-founder of Ignite, Mark is the architect of the Ignite 'Achieve' innovation and change approach and has pioneered bringing an innovative approach to organisational transformation and the management of complex change programmes. In recent years Mark has specialised in bringing our approach to the transformation of Local Government and the development of a mould breaking "Future Model". For fun Mark will normally be found on a mountain - walking up in summer, skiing down in winter.
Director of insight and innovation
Chris is Britain’s most successful Paralympic swimmer and was Director of Paralympic Integration for London 2012. A lifelong campaigner for equality and inclusion, Chris was appointed to the House of Lords in 2013 as the Lord Holmes of Richmond. As well as helping clients raise their aspirations about what can be achieved in their change agenda, Chris is an expert at bringing to life bold and ambitious visions whist ensuring employees are energised and inspired by the path ahead. Elsewhere, Chris divides his time between parliamentary work, a role as a non-executive director at the Equality and Human Rights Commission and various speaking and charitable commitments. Chris's guide dog Lottie is also a part of the Ignite team and has already sussed out who is most susceptible to slipping her the odd chip.
A sample of consultants
Eve is a really experienced programme director. She is adept at quickly identifying the key drivers of business success and takes a pragmatic but robust approach to managing them. She also specialises in the creation of Enterprise Programme Management Offices. Eve has a real love affair with Dubai - so if anyone has a long term job in that part of the world....
Susan’s first focus is always the human behaviour aspect of change. She’s also Ignite’s talent manager, supporting Ignite consultants in whatever way will best help them to flourish. Food fixated, the team are happy when team get-togethers benefit from her obsession in this area.

Charlotte is a natural collaborator who seeks excellence in everything she does. With a degree in psychology, Charlotte is fascinated by human behaviour. Outside of Ignite, you can find her cooking up a storm in the kitchen or getting stuck in the mud at a festival.
Process mapping and developing training materials a speciality, Charlotte enjoys meeting new people and understanding how they best carry out their work. Foreign travel features highly in her non-Ignite time.
Hilary specialises in guiding clients through fundamental service reviews, designing new approaches and models, creating the case for change, and designing and developing organisations. Hilary is a keen cross country runner - the muddier the better, and also helps raise money for an overseas student to attend her old school, the United World College of the Atlantic.
Lisa-Claire is an accredited project, programme, and change management practitioner. Lisa-Claire thrives on new challenges and facilitating the delivery of successful change, using her interpersonal skills and aptitude for coaching to connect with, influence and motivate others. Outside work Lisa-Claire enjoys baking, swimming, and loves to travel - and the associated photography opportunities, especially wildlife.
Dugald brings a strong focus on results and remains flexible in the face of challenging or unfamiliar situations. He deals effectively with setbacks and enjoys overcoming difficult challenges. Outside work he's very competitive, playing rugby at weekends and squeezing in a skiing holiday when possible.
Jenny is in her element when driving forward the implementation of difficult and complex organisation change. Just don't mention Crystal Palace! Jenny is a devout Brighton and Hove Albion supporter and will thrash you at toad in the hole.
Laura is supremely well organised and consistently delivers high standards and quality results. She adopts a committed and proactive approach to all endeavours. She craves a challenge - evidenced by her recent bungee jump over the Nile.
Putting herself in the customer’s shoes is a key part of Abby’s work – scripting the front end of workflow systems in a way that works best for everyone. Dancing and diving are passions – yet to be tried simultaneously.
James is a highly motivated and enthusiastic civil engineering graduate with sound numerical and analytical skills. Outside Ignite James tries to play football but sadly he has two left feet.
Jason has the rare talent of being able to translate the needs of operational staff into technology and processes. He has an excellent understanding of what makes a good customer journey or an effective user experience and sets very high standards of quality and delivery. A talented musician, Jason plays in a band at weekends.

Experienced in large scale change programmes, particularly in the public sector, Simon's focus is on Ignite's Future Model work in Local Government. An ex Gurkha, Simon is a keen skier and also a mountain climber – he still invests in a lift pass though.
Rebecca is an experienced change consultant who applies a sharp intelligence and grit to varied and challenging circumstances along with empathy, creativity and vigour. An experienced coach, Rebecca builds the capability of those around her, positively challenging them to improve performance. Possibly due to being a stand-up comedian in a previous life, her wittiness is on another level.
Fiona brings a fresh and pragmatic perspective and is experienced in leading complex change and benefits realisation for large commercial and public sector organisations, particularly those with a significant technology investment. Food, wine and marathon running are leisure time priorities.
